Who I Think Is Going To Win Euro 2012

If you are thinking of betting on who is going to win Euro 2012, then take my advice and put your money on Spain. Just look at their team: the strikers that they possess are beyond belief, I mean really, just look at their front three: the combination of Fernando Torres, David Villa and Pedro is enough to tear apart any defence in Europe and the fact that they can be sure of such a steady supply of chances from midfield due to the presence of Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Xabi Alonso and Mata means that it seems highly unlikely any other nation in the tournament will be able to contain them over ninety minutes.

Their defence is also more than solid. Carlos Puyol is now one of the most composed and experienced centre backs in the world while Pique is sometimes reminiscent of Franz Beckenbauer in his pomp when he strides out from the back with the ball at his feet and begins attacks with his incisive passing. Sergio Ramos at right back is also more than capable at both defending and attacking while their goalkeeper – Casillas – holds the record for most Champions League appearances and has been playing in Real Madrid’s first team for over a decade despite being only thirty-two.

The reason that Spain have become such an unstoppable force is because they have managed to unite the dressing room where there used to be divisions between the Barcelona and Real Madrid players. Since they started playing as a team rather than a group of individuals they have won the European Cup followed by the World Cup and twice gone unbeaten for over a year. So if you are thinking of putting a bet on Euro 2012, I would suggest that you lay your wager on Spain. No matter what the Euro 2012 betting odds – and you may well be tempted to have an optimistic and nationalistic punt on England due to the fact that their odds will be favourable and Spain’s will be steep – I would still put your money on Spain because they look unbeatable.
