Betting On The Premiership

Sunderland play host to Aston Villa in a fortnight’s time in what promises to be a fascinating encounter. Steve Bruce’s men have suffered from the loss of Asamoah Gyan and Danny Wellbeck in the summer meaning that they are lacking comparable striking options to this time last season. They have had a shaky start to this year’s campaign because they have not been able to score enough goals and I would consequently expect their home advantage to be of little significance in this game. Alex McLeish has replaced the departing Ashley Young with Charles N’Zogbia and the young Frenchman has settled in well so far at Villa Park. Darren Bent has also been in fine goal-scoring and it might be a question of how many they get against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light as they have been tearing teams apart recently. Stilian Petrov’s passing has improved even further in his twilight years while the arrival of Shay Given from Manchester City to keep net for them was an inspired signing. I would expect Aston Villa to win this encounter comfortably.

In another of Saturday’s games, Swansea play host to Bolton Wanderers. Both teams have really struggled so far this season, especially Owen Coyle’s men who have been on the end of several thrashings, but I would expect them to win against the first Welsh team in the Premiership because they will know that if they can’t beat Swansea then they are going to stay rooted to the foot of the league and so they should be particularly fired up. The fact that they have not replaced Helmander since his departure in the summer has been a problem for them because they have consequently failed to score enough goals. They will be hoping that Kevin Davies can improve his finishing and bag them a few against Swansea.

If you are thinking of betting on Aston Villa and Bolton victories, I would also suggest that you combine the two bets together in a multiplier so that you get improved odds for both wagers. If you do this online you can also combine them with bets on other sports, for example you could take a look at the current darts betting odds for the upcoming World Championships. You could also add a bet on hockey to your multiplier. By combining numerous bets like this you stand to make much more if all of your predictions prove to be correct.
